What’s the best Aldi coffee out there? It depends on what you’re looking for, but there’s one particular bag of Aldi coffee that’s had us buying it over and over for years.

For a number of reasons, this particular Aldi product is hard to beat – plus it’s one of the lowest-priced options from any store we’ve found. (But then, that sounds like the way Aldi works, doesn’t it?!)

Whether you’re a single-origin, whole-bean kind of coffee drinker, or you’re looking for some delicious ground coffee, k cup options, or refreshing iced coffee, Aldi has something for every type of coffee lover.

Best Aldi Coffee Review

Somehow, local Aldi stores marvelously blend low prices and a quick and easy shopping experience with a plethora of great products. After switching our regular grocery shopping to Aldi almost a decade ago, it’s tough to go anywhere else! And for the coffee drinker, Aldi’s affordable prices on delicious brew options are hard to beat.

If you’re a whole bean coffee type of person, Aldi’s Simply Nature brand organic, fair trade, single-origin roast definitely stands out among the options. And while it may be Aldi’s only option for whole coffee beans, it beats almost every other similar choice we’ve found at other stores.

(Really, though, there are two options, since Aldi regularly offers both a Honduran and a Peruvian bag. They’re both excellent.)

This particular bag of coffee is one of our favorite Aldi finds. Not only is the flavor profile excellent for brewing a delicious cup of coffee, but at $5.99 (its current price in our Michigan store), it’s also a great value for a 12-ounce bag of beans.

Why We Love It

Out of the variety of coffee blends Aldi has on the shelves, why this one?

For one, whole bean coffee tends to be fresher than pre-ground coffee. But besides offering whole beans, Aldi’s Simply Nature beans are single origin (produced in one region for a distinct flavor profile), organic coffee. They’re also fair trade certifiedAnd as a medium roast, they’re a great choice that’s neither too light nor dark.

Both the Honduras and the Peruvian products are a great option for a high-quality bag of beans at a very affordable price.

What Other Coffee Options Does Aldi Have?

Although we’re pretty set on the Simply Nature whole bean bags, Aldi has a number of other coffee brands and types that are definitely worth exploring. Based on both our own experience and the recommendations of other Aldi shoppers, here are the best options for Aldi’s variety of coffee products.

Why We Make Our Coffee at Home As Often As Possible

Making your morning coffee at home can add up to significant savings. And even if you have to invest in a bit of equipment, the value of making a good cup of coffee at home versus frequenting your favorite coffee shop can compound really quickly. (We found out that it only costs us about $0.13 per cup to make whole bean coffee at home.)

We were thrilled when we found out that we could buy single-origin, organic, whole bean coffee from Aldi. Aldi’s coffee might just be the best value we’ve found. They’re fairly high quality beans, and they taste great.

Plus, when you make your own coffee, you can control everything about it! The grind, the amount, and anything you want to add – from a dash of milk to sparkling water with lemon (one of our favorite drinks). Once you get the hang of it (and have good beans!), it’s not hard nor time consuming to make a good cup of coffee in your own cozy kitchen.
